MIA Reports of Russian Overflights on Georgian Police Posts
The Russian army helicopters carried out reconnaissance flights over the Georgian police posts at the Abkhaz administrative border on March 4 and March 5, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) said.
“Today At 11am [local time], Russia’s Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters flew from the Russian-occupied Georgia’s territory, in particular from the Gali district’s village of Pichori. The helicopters flew over and photographed the Georgian Interior Ministry’s posts in the villages of Ganmukhuri and Khurcha. The similar flights were also conducted by the Russian helicopters twice on March 4,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement on March 5.
A spokesperson for the Russia’s Air Forces has denied that Russian helicopters flew over the Georgia’s Zugdidi district, Interfax news agency reported.
