PM to Meet Solana in Brussels
Georgia’s Prime Minister, Nika Gilauri, will meet with EU’s foreign policy chief, Javier Solana, in Brussels on March 4.
Recent developments in Georgia and EU-Georgia relations will be discussed at the meeting, according to the Solana’s press office.
PM Gilauri told journalists before departure to Brussels that EU’s pledge to provide EUR 500 million in assistance after the August war will also be discussed.
Benita Ferrero-Waldner, the EU commissioner for external relations, said in Tbilisi on January 20 that democratic reforms were among “political conditions” under which EU will give up to EUR 500 million aid package to Georgia in next three years.
PM Gilauri also said that issues related with Geneva talks would also be raised during his visit to Brussels.
