EU Commissioner to Visit Georgia

EU Commissioner for External Relations, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, will visit Georgia on January 20 as part of her tour in the South Caucasus countries.

According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, EU commission and the Georgian government will sign a Joint Statement on a Framework for Increased European Commission Financial Assistance 2008-2010 to Georgia.

“The parties will mainly discuss the EC role in processes to resolve the crisis in Georgia, including through the provision of financial assistance,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
