MIA: Georgian Police Post Attacked in Ganmukhuri

A Georgian police post in the village of Ganmukhuri at the Abkhaz administrative border came under fired from the Abkhaz side of the border, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) said on Sunday.

It said that the incident occurred at 8am local time on January 4. No one was injured.

“The fire was opened from the territory under the control of Russian occupiers – from the village of Pichori, the district of Gali,” the ministry said in a statement. “Fire was opened from mortars, as well as from the sub-machine guns.”
