Former FM to Chair NSC

Eka Tkeshelashvili, a former foreign minister, will be appointed as new Secretary of the National Security Council, replacing Alexandre Lomaia, according to the Georgian government’s weekly newsletter, released on December 18.

A former Secretary of NSC Lomaia is set to become Georgia’s ambassador to the United Nations, replacing Irakli Alasania, who resigned on December 4.
