Opposition Figure: New Political Union Expected in December
Some of the opposition parties, along with some “state officials” who are part of the authorities, are expected to join forces within a new, united political group in December, Kakha Kukava, co-leader of the opposition Conservative Party, said on November 6.
“Consultations are underway on the matter, so at this stage I can not unveil details or parties and personalities involved in the process,” he told journalists.
He, however, said that the Labor Party would not be part of this new political group and consultations also were not held with former parliamentary chairperson, Nino Burjanadze, who announced about setting up of her party on October 27.
