Two Members Quit Okruashvili’s Party
Nana Lezhava and Tamar Rukhadze, former Rustavi 2 TV journalists, have quitted ex-defense minister Irakli Okruashvili’s Movement for United Georgia party.
Speaking at the press conference on September 30, they denied having any disagreement in the party, saying that they planned to set up a non-governmental organization for journalist rights.
“We will prepare a weekly program on the most important issues and offer this program to all Georgian TV stations,” Nana Lezhava said.
Both, Lezhava and Rukhadze joined Okruashvili’s party a year ago after having quitted Rustavi 2 TV as a protest in 2006.
