Elections Postponed

Elections of the Adjara Autonomous Republic’s local legislative body, as well as MP by-elections in the Tbilisi’s two single-mandate constituencies, scheduled for October 4, have been postponed, the Central Election Commission (CEC) said on August 9.

CEC said the decision was made after the martial law was announced in the country amid armed clashes in South Ossetia.
