Russia, Georgia Agree on Humanitarian Corridor
An agreement has been reached to establish a humanitarian corridor to allow civilians out of the South Ossetian capital, Tskhinvali, Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Gregory Karasin said.
“We hope the Georgian side will remain committed to the agreement,” Karasin said.
Earlier today the Georgian side called for a ceasefire and a humanitarian corridor in Tskhinvali, which Georgian officials say is almost totally destroyed.
