New Public TV Board Chairman Elected

As expected, the board of trustees of the Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) elected Levan Gakheladze as its new chairman on July 21.

Gakheladze was deputy chairman of the board before the new appointment.

The position had been vacant since ex-chair Irakli Tripolski resigned in late May, citing the station’s “biased reporting.”
