EU Concerned over Rise in Tensions in Abkhazia, S.Ossetia
The EU French presidency expressed “its deep concern” following the explosion in Gali on July 6 that killed four people.
“Faced with the increasing number of incidents and the rise in tensions in the conflict zones in Georgia, the Presidency of the European Union once again calls on the parties to show the utmost restraint and resume dialogue as quickly as possible in order to avoid a further escalation of violence,” it said in the statement on July 7.
