Patriarch of Georgian Orthodox Church Addresses Protesters

After attending the opening of the first session of Parliament, Patriarch of the Georgian Orthodox Church Ilia II spoke with protesters outside the parliament.

In a very brief address to the people at the rally, Ilia II called for unity. “The Georgian people is one, united nation. The devil divides and God unites… I hope we will achieve unity,” he said.
