Saakashvili, Medvedev Hold Phone Talks
The Russian and Georgian presidents, Dmitry Medvedev and Mikheil Saakashvili, respectively, held a telephone conversation on June 3, the Kremlin has said.
“Russian assistance in the repair of Abkhaz rail infrastructure and the involvement of the Russian Railway Forces were raised during the conversation. Necessary clarifications were given in this regard,” the Kremlin press office said. “The two presidents have agreed to continue discussions over this and other issues, including those related with regional peace and stability during the upcoming bilateral meeting in St. Petersburg on the sideline of the economic forum [on June 6-7].”
