Ex-Chief of Tbilisi Gas Distribution Company Arrested

Vakhtang Tsaava, who served as the General Director of the state-run Tbilisi gas distribution company Tbilgazi from 2002-2003, was arrested for alleged misuse of power and misappropriation of state funds, reported the Tbilisi Prosecutor?s Office on October 8.

Chief Prosecutor of Tbilisi Giorgi Gviniashvili said that the criminal case was initiated in connection with financial fraud within the Tbilgazi company, which is 96% owned by the Tbilisi Municipality.
