Saakashvili Meets with U.S. Secretary of Defense

Visiting Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili met with U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld on August 4 behind closed doors.

Reportedly, the issues of boosting further military cooperation, as well as the recent developments in Georgia?s breakaway South Ossetia were discussed during the talks.

Later today Mikheil Saakashvili is planning to hold unofficial talks with U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice.
