Saakashvili: Volunteer Armed Groups Left South Ossetia
President Saakashvili told reporters in Tbilisi on July 16 that armed groups of volunteers pulled out from Georgia?s breakaway South Ossetia.
?We know that around 260 armed volunteers, including from [Georgia?s breakaway] Abkhazia and [Russia?s] North Ossetia already left the region,? Mikheil Saakashvili said.
He said that armed groups were pulled out from breakaway South Ossetia after ?the orders from Moscow.? ?We could preserve peace in the region,? he added.
