Russia’s Ivanov Welcomes Released Officers in Moscow

Russian Defense Minister Sergey Ivanov welcomed four Russian military officers who were handed over by Georgia on Monday in Chkalovsky Airport outside Moscow late on October 2.

Russian NTV television stations broadcasted footage showing Ivanov greeting the officers in the airport.

“Thank you for your bravery… The [Russian] state undertook all the possible measures to achieve your release,” Ivanov told the Russian officers.
