Government Sets Tentative 2007 Budgetary Targets

At a government?s session on August 23 Finance Minister Lexo Alexishvili presented for consideration the forecasted budgetary targets for 2007, setting revenues at GEL 3,4 billion (roughly USD 1,9 billion) and expenditures at GEL 3,8 billion (roughly USD 2,2 billion).

According to the Finance Ministry these forecasted targets are preliminary figures that might change according to macroeconomic developments in the remaining months of 2006.
