State Minister Visits Tskhinvali

Georgia?s new State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Merab Antadze visited the breakaway South Ossetian capital, Tskhinvali, on August 1 and held talks with Boris Chochiev, the unrecognized republic?s Vice-Premier and chief negotiator.

This is Antadze’s first visit to Tskhinvali in the capacity of State Minister.

The South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported quoting Chochiev as saying that the meeting was useful, especially on the eve of a session of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) ? the quadripartite negotiating body that is expected to meet in Moscow in the first half of August.
