Rebel Warlord’s Sister in Custody
The Tbilisi City Court sentenced Nora Kvitsiani, a sister of rebel warlord Emzar Kvitsiani, to a two-month pretrial detention on July 30.
Nora Kvitsiani, who was arrested on July 29, has been charged with participation in an illegal armed formation and with illegal purchase and possession of weapons. She has denied accusations.
Emzar Kvitsiani and his nephew Bacho Argvliani (son of Nora Kvitsiani) are now wanted by the Georgian law enforcers.
Officials in Tbilisi say that Kvitsiani is currently on the Russia’s territory, while Argvliani is most likely hiding in the forests of Kodori gorge.
