Slovak Foreign Minister: Russia’s Move Risks Increasing Tension
Slovak Foreign Minister Jan Kubis, who is the chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, said Russia’s Abkhaz and S.Ossetian move “risks further increasing tensions in the conflict zones and undermines the international peace efforts.”
He called on the Russian Federation “to reconsider and not to implement its decision” on establishing official ties with Georgia’s breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
