Ex-Journalist’s Party to Run Independently
Christian-Democratic Party, led by former Imedi TV anchor Giorgi Targamadze, said on April 7 it would run in the May 21 parliamentary elections independently.
The party, which was set up by Targamadze in early February and unites several former journalists from Imedi TV station, held its inaugural session on April 7.
The party said declaring the Orthodox Christianity Georgia’s state religion would be among its priorities.
