‘Georgia will not Recognize Kosovo’ – Senior MP

“Georgia has no plans to recognize Kosovo’s independence,” Giga Bokeria, an influential MP from the ruling Naitonal Movement party, said on February 18.

His comment reflects broad cross-party consensus on the matter. Earlier today, the nine-party opposition coalition, as well as the Labor and New Rights opposition parties, called on the authorities not to recognize Kosovo’s independence.
