Bagapsh Rules out Talks with Saakashvili

Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh has ruled out holding talks with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.

?If it were another president, we might have resumed dialogue, but not about the political status of Abkhazia. Any possibility of talks with Saakashvili in the current situation is a non-starter,? Bagapsh told Interfax news agency on January 13

Saakashvili was re-elected in the January 5 presidential election with 53.47% of the vote.

?The election in Georgia does not mean anything for Abkhazia. It was held in a neighboring state,? Bagapsh added.
