Burjanadze: I Voted for Stability
Nino Burjanadze, the acting president, said she had voted for “stability, Georgia’s NATO-membership and democratic development.” She called for a high voter turnout.
“I have voted for a candidate, who, I believe, will be able to successfully develop the country and do the things, which are very important for us. I call on everybody, regardless of their political views, to come to the polling stations. You can see that the secrecy of the ballot is not threatened. All votes will be defended,” she told journalists after casting her ballot.
