Bagapsh Tells Residents of Gali to Boycott Georgia’s Polls

Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh has called on the residents of the predominantly Georgian-populated Gali District of the breakaway region to boycott the January 5 early presidential elections in Georgia.

“The Georgian authorities will try to use the population of the Gali District for political purposes. But we are sure that the residents of Gali themselves will not let it happen,” Bagapsh said in remarks posted on his official website on November 25.
