Saakashvili Visits Portugal

President Saakashvili left for Portugal early on October 18 to hold talks with the Portuguese leadership.

During his two-day visit, Saakashvili will attend the Summit of the European People?s Party to be held in Lisbon on October 18.

Lisbon is also hosting an informal EU summit on October 18-19.

President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Poettering, Ukrainian President Victor Uishchenko, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Ren? Van Der Linden and other European leaders will also attend the summit.
