Ex-Lawmaker Found Dead in Tbilisi
Zviad Tsetskhladze, a businessman and former lawmaker, was found dead in his office in downtown Tbilisi on May 28.
Friends and relatives said Tsetskhladze, 61, had been found tied to a chair and had shown signs of having been strangled. Police have yet to comment.
Tsetskhladze was a member of Parliament from 1999 to 2003 and a member of ex-Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze?s Revival Party. He was not, however, an active political figure even while in Parliament.
Tsetskhladze was at one point a major property owner, with interests in hotels in Adjara, Bakuriani and Tbilisi. He reportedly sold everything before his death.
