Georgia, U.S. to Sign Air Service Treaty
Georgia and the United States plan to sign an agreement which will give the go-ahead to civil aviation between the two countries, Georgian Economy Minister Giorgi Arveladze said on June 6.
A bilateral air service agreement is planned to be signed during Arveladze?s visit to the United States on June 19-21.
The draft agreement was discussed at a Georgian government cabinet meeting on June 6.
?We will have the most liberal air service with the United States after signing this agreement,? Arveladze told reporters after the cabinet meeting.
?We want as many air carriers to fly to and from Georgia as possible,? he added.
