Kokoity Says S.Ossetia Ready to Repel Attack

In case of an open aggression Georgia will receive ?a tough answer,? South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity said in an interview with Reuters television late on July 19.

He said that Russian peacekeeping forces and South Ossetian troops ?are doing all they can to keep the situation under control… despite the fact that Georgia is permanently trying to destabilize the situation and stage provocations.”

In the interview Kokoity has once again reiterated that the region wants integration into the Russian Federation.
