U.S. Hails BTC as Multiple Source of Energy

The United States is very pleased with the opening of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, Sean McCormack, Spokesman of the U.S. Department of State said at a press briefing in Washington on July 13. 
 
?I think it?s a good thing for the people of Turkey, a good thing for the people in the region and it?s a good thing for the people of the world in terms of having multiple sources of energy supply and energy delivery in a cost-effective way,? the U.S. official said.
 
Azerbaijani, Georgian and Turkish leaders, as well as senior officials from the region and the United States participated in the official inaugural ceremony of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in Turkey on July 13.
