Georgian Army Holds Large-Scale Maneuvers

Large scale military exercises are underway since May 28 at the Orpolo firing range in southern Georgia with the participation of 8 000 servicemen from number of military units, the Georgian Ministry of Defense reported on June 27.

President Saakashvili, Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili and other governmental officials visited the firing range where month and half-long military exercises under the codename Caucasus-2006 are conducted.
