South Ossetian PM Discusses Investment Projects in Moscow
During his recent visit to Moscow Prime Minister of breakaway South Ossetia Yuri Morozov discussed possible investment projects, including construction of a gas pipeline linking Russia?s North Ossetia with the South Ossetian capital Tskhinvali, the unrecognized republic?s Press and Information Committee reported on June 12.
Morozov said that he held talks with executives from Gazprom in Moscow to discuss the details of these gas pipeline projects. He said construction will be launched in August, 2006 and is expected to last for one year.
Morozov also said that he has signed a contract on installing a relay communication center in South Ossetia which will improve international phone calls, as well as foster the reduction of tariffs on international phone calls. But he did not specify with which company he signed this contract with.
