Moscow Municipality Pledges Assistance to Abkhazia
Mayor Office of Moscow will allocate a plot of land to the Abkhaz authorities on Sadovoe Koltso (Garden Ring) for construction of the Abkhaz representation in Moscow, Abkhaz news agency Apsnipress reported on June 9 quoting Georgy Muradov, chief of the international relations department of the Moscow Municipality.
Muradov said after talks with Prime Minister of breakaway Abkhazia Aleksandr Ankvab, that the Moscow Municipality is committed to construct ?Moscow?s cultural and business center? in the Abkhaz capital Sukhumi.
The Moscow city official said that construction of the business center also has political importance.
?It is well known that support to Abkhazia comes not only from the Moscow Municipality, but from the Federal level as well,? Muradov said.
