Georgia Reinforces Border with Russia

The Georgian Border Guard Department will open additional checkpoints on the border with Russia, which will operate during the summer period.

Georgia reinforces border with Russia every year when the snow starts melting and risks of illegal cross-border movement increases in high mountainous regions in northern Georgia.

New checkpoints will operate at the Georgia?s northern high mountainous borders before winter.
