Saakashvili Visits Romania

President Saakashvili left for Bucharest, Romania on June 5 to participate in the Black Sea Forum for Dialogue and Partnership.


The Presidents of Romania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Ukraine will also participate in the summit, which, according to the Romanian Foreign Ministry, aims at boosting cooperation and ?drawing the attention of the international community to the significance of this area, to its opportunities and challenges.?


Officials from Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Lithuania, as well as the OSCE Chairman-on-Office – Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht – and representatives of NATO, the CoE and the UN will participate in the Forum.


The list of participants posted on the Romanian Foreign Ministry?s web-site does not include officials from the Russian Federation.
