U.S. Ambassador Visits Abkhazia

U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Tefft met with Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh, as well as unrecognized republic’s Prime Minister Aleksandr Ankvab and Foreign Minister Sergey Shamba in Sokhumi on May 22, the Abkhaz news agency Apsnipress reported.

After talks John Tefft told reporters that issues related with peaceful resolution of the Abkhaz conflict were discussed during the meeting, according to the Apsnipress.
