Georgian, Russian Coast Guards Meet in Sochi

Chiefs of the Coast Guard Services of Georgia and Russia are holding talks in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi on May 12-13. The Georgian side is represented by Chief of the Georgian Coast Guard Service Davit Gulua.

According to the Georgian Border Guard Department, the sides are discussing the issues of fighting illegal activities in the Black Sea region and coordinating joint activities in this regard. The Chiefs of the Coast Guard Services will also sign a plan on cooperation for 2006-2007.
