Croatian President Visits Georgia
Croatian President Stjepan Mesiж, who is paying a two-day visit to Georgia on May 7-8, met with his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Saakashvili and Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze on May 7.
President Saakashvili said after talks with the Croatian President that Croatia “is an example” for Georgia, which is striving to overcome problems related with conflicts and the economy.
He said that Georgia will further deepen its ties with its European partner states in order not to remain alone against Moscow’s mounting pressure.
President Stjepan Mesiж said that Croatia is ready to share its experience and stressed the necessity to solve conflicts solely through peaceful means.
In late March, President Saakashvili paid a one-day working visit to Croatia.
