A 13-member governmental commission was set up by decree of Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli of April 26 in an attempt to foster reforms in the country’s judiciary system.

The commission, which is chaired by the PM, unites Finance Minister Lexo Alexishvili, State Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration Giorgi Baramidze, Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili, Education Minister Kakha Lomaia, Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili, Justice Minister Gia Kavtaradze and his five deputies, as well as the government’s parliamentary secretary Gia Khuroshvili.
