Adjara’s SEC Chief Elected

Adjara Autonomous Republic’s legislative body Supreme Council approved Archil Mikeladze as new Chairman of the autonomy’s Supreme Election Commission (SEC) on March 21.

The opposition lawmakers of the autonomy voted against citing that Mikeladze held a position in Adjara’s ex-leader Aslan Abashidze’s administration.
