Energy Minister: Gas Pipeline Sale Possible if Price is Acceptable

Georgian Energy Minister Nika Gilauri said told Reuters that selling of Georgia’s gas pipeline system to the Russian Gazprom is possible if the price and terms of contract are acceptable.

“Let’s imagine a situation where they [Gazprom] offer quite a high price for the pipeline, they begin repairs on it, and are willing to put in the future contract terms that are acceptable to us. Why should we flatly refuse Gazprom?” Gilauri said in an interview with Reuters on March 9.
