Russia Partially Resumes Visas for Georgia
Russia has partially resumed issuing visas to the Georgian citizens starting from March 10, the Russian Embassy spokesman Mikhail Svirin told RIA Novosti news agency.
“Issuing of visas was resumed on March 10 only for official delegations, employees of Russian companies based in Georgia; persons traveling to Russia for cultural, scientific, and sporting purposes, as well as for those traveling in Russia with an invitation from Russia,” Svirin said.
The Consular department of the Russian Embassy in Georgia stopped issuing visas to Georgian citizens, except for “cases of a humanitarian character” on February 21.
