S.Ossetia Appoints New Security Chief
South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity appointed Nikolai Dolgopolov as the unrecognized republic’s new Cheif of the Security Committee, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported on March 3.
Dolgopolov replaced Anatoly Yarovoy, who has held the position since January, 2005. The latter was ex-chief of the Security Service of the Russia’s Mordovia Republic. Further information about Dolgopolov is not available.
