UN Envoy Visits Abkhazia

UN Secretary General’s Special Representative to Georgia Heidi Tagliavini left for breakaway Abkhazia on February 21 to hold talks with Abkhaz leader Sergey Bagapsh and Foreign Minister Sergey Shamba.

Reportedly, ways for a peaceful resolution to the Abkhaz conflict and the current situation in the Gali district of the breakaway republic will top the agenda of these talks.
