Russian MPs to Visit South Ossetia

Boris Gryzlov, the speaker of the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, said on February 9 that a group of Russian parliamentarians will soon travel to breakaway South Ossetia to study the situation in the conflict zone.

Gryzlov accused Georgia of “searching for reasons to trigger tensions in South Ossetia.”

“the Situation is alarming… The State Duma will send a group of parliamentarians to the conflict zone in few days,” RIA Novosti quoted Gryzlov as saying.
