Kokoity Ready to Meet Saakashvili, but not in Tbilisi
South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity said at a news briefing in Moscow on February 7 that he is ready to meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili “anywhere, except Tbilisi.”
Kokoity said, while commenting on Russian peacekeepers and said South Ossetian side should have its say in this issue.
“The withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers depends not only on the decision of the Georgian Parliament. They [the Georgian side] can make any decisions, but there are another parties involved in the conflict, which are against this withdrawal,” Interfax news agency quoted Kokoity as saying.
