Georgian, Austrian Foreign Ministers Meet in Vienna

Georgian Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili met with his Austrian counterpart, EU Ministerial Council’s Chairman Ursula Plassnik, in Vienna on January 19.

According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the two Ministers discussed Georgia’s action plan within the EU Neighborhood Policy, Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration and the role of Austria as EU President in this process and enhancement of the involvement of Austria and the European Union as a whole in the peaceful settlement of Abkhaz and South Ossetian conflicts.

The Austrian Foreign Minister noted that Austria will attach primary importance to the peaceful settlement of conflicts, in particular, timely commencement of the South Ossetia peace plan and its due implementation during Austria’s term as President of the European Union.
