Burjanadze, Nazarbayev Discuss Cooperation

Visiting Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze held talks with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana, Kazakh capital, on January 19.

The issues of bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade and energy, as well as the investment activities of Kazakh companies in Georgia were discussed during the talks.

“We are establishing close political and economic relations with Kazakhstan and this is very important for the development of Georgia. We are ready to improve the investment climate in order to attract Kazakh investments to our economy,” the Kazakh President’s official web site quotes Burjanadze as saying at a news briefing after the talks with President Nazarbayev.
