Parliament Says No to Judge Willing to Testify at Plenary Session

Parliament turned down a proposal by the opposition factions on December 27 to hold a hearing of judge Tamaz Iliashvili, who claims that the authorities are mounting pressure on him and judiciary system.

Parliamentarians from the ruling National Movement party said that there was no need to hold these hearing at the session.
